Gender Incongruence Therapy helps people who feel that their gender identity doesn't match the sex they were assigned at birth. It's a supportive process that helps individuals explore and understand their gender, and figure out what feels most true to them. The goal is to help someone feel comfortable and aligned with who they really are, whether that's through changes in how they express themselves, medical steps, or just having a safe space to talk about their feelings.

FAQs
Can you tell me more about the free 15 minute consultation call?
The consultation call is an opportunity for you to tell me about your situation and ask me questions about how I work and what methods I will use to help you. It gives you a sense of my personality and what it’s like talking to me. By the end of the call, you should have a good idea of whether or not you want to work with me. The call also gives me information on how I can best meet your needs; if I feel that I’m not the right therapist for you, I’ll give you an appropriate referral to someone else I think could help you.
what is your intake process?
To schedule an appointment you will complete the Therapy Inquiry form and we will make every effort to get back to you within 24 hours. Upon our initial communication, my intake team will ask for your email and send you a link to your online portal through Simple Practice so you can conveniently complete the intake paperwork prior to our first appointment. The intake process is our “digital paperwork”. It will ask for basic information about you (your address, demographic information, and some personal history). You will also have an opportunity to review and sign off on my business policies and procedures, as well as the informed consent, confidentiality agreements, and financial arrangement. We keep your credit card information securely on file so that the payment process is convenient for both of us! We are pleased to offer you this seamless option to complete the logistical portion of this process. It will also give me an opportunity to review the information you’d like me to know before we meet.
How often should I come to sessions?
This is a great question, the frequency depends on your presenting issues and the therapeutic approach that will most benefit you. Most clients attend sessions weekly, consistent meetings allows us to really create an alliance and establish momentum towards your goals. In most cases the counseling process can take anywhere from 8-20 sessions before you notice change. This of course depends on your motivation and the efforts that you apply between the sessions. You will typically know when you reach the point where you feel you no longer need to come. I’m very transparent to clients about discussing this and checking in with you to make sure you feel our work is on track with the goals you have established.
What is a “Good faith estimate”under the no surprise act?
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of your therapy services. This estimate will provide details about what you can expect to pay for services. Please note that this is just an an estimate, and actual cost may vary based on your needs during treatment. If you have any questions about the estimate or your bill, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!
